Jaylan
Battley
Before his first green flag, there were two years of high-performance driving events (HPDE) in Texas with his mom. No karting. No competitive racing. When Jaylan lined up for his first wheel-to-wheel race at Carolina Motorsports Park in April 2025, he was starting a very different kind of racing story.
That unconventional beginning quickly revealed something rare: an instinctive feel for the car, the adaptability to step straight into wheel-to-wheel competition, and an ability to translate coaching into speed. With only two years of track days and no karting or prior competition, Jaylan stepped into fields filled with drivers who had been racing for 15 years or more—and began holding his own almost immediately. His early success points to more than a quick learner. It reveals the raw speed, feel and coachability of a driver whose potential is only beginning to be professionally developed. Four runner-up finishes at Autobahn. Pole position and three wins at Pitt Race. A Skip Barber Winter Shootout victory, followed by race-weekend sweeps at Sebring, COTA and Road America. After completing the 2026 GRIDLIFE RUSH SR season seventh nationally despite missing Road Atlanta for a Skip Barber schedule conflict, Jaylan enters the final Skip Barber event at Sonoma as the championship leader.
Away from the track, Jaylan trains on the advanced racing simulator his dad, Naylan, built, and shares his sim racing through streams from the rig.

With his family beside him, he’s learning racecraft, building confidence and discovering what it means to compete. That first podium marks an exciting new chapter in Braxton’s BMS story.

Two brothers, one program.
Jaylan carries a Skip Barber scholarship path previously walked by drivers including Alexander Rossi. Braxton, nine years old, takes his first karting season under the same standards.
Battley Motorsports is a two-driver program out of Houston, Texas — run by family, for family, with no interest in scaling past what we can do right: put both drivers on track with real coaching, real seat time, and real results. Jaylan's first full professional season is underway with Skip Barber; Braxton starts his first competitive karting season this fall
The work between the weekends.
Eight rounds across the 2026 season. The rest of the year is preparation: simulator programs, instructor debriefs, physical conditioning, and the quiet accumulation of small margins that eventually shows up on a timing screen.
